Privacy Policy

LocalPins helps home-service businesses turn the jobs their technicians complete into proof of local work: job pins on a map, service-area pages on their website, Google Business Profile posts, and reports that show how local search visibility changes. This policy explains what information LocalPins handles, why, and the choices you have.

In short: we use your information only to run LocalPins for you. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we never use data from Google to train AI models. You can disconnect any integration and ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

LocalPins is operated by Busy Bee Media, Inc., 2217 Creston Ct, Medford, OR 97504, USA (“LocalPins”, “we”, “us”). Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@localpins.co.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Names, email addresses, roles and hashed passwords of the people who use a LocalPins account (owners, office staff, technicians and agency administrators), and the business details entered for each location: business name, address, phone, website, services and service area.

Job information

Details logged for completed jobs: service type, city, street or neighbourhood, address, job date, job notes, photos, and the technician who did the work. Addresses are used to place jobs on a map. Public pages name only the street or area, not the full address.

Customer contact details for review requests

If a technician or office user ticks “send a review request” on a job, the customer's name and email address are stored with that job and used only to send that review request on the business's behalf.

Website connection

The LocalPins Connector WordPress plugin sends LocalPins the site's address and plugin version, and receives the business's published jobs to display. It does not collect information about the site's visitors.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our servers; we store only Stripe's customer and subscription references.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form on localpins.co (name, email, company and message) are emailed to our team and used only to reply.

Technical information

Our servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, errors) for security and troubleshooting. We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Information from Google

LocalPins lets each business location connect Google services. Connecting is optional, is done by someone who manages that business's Google account, and shows Google's consent screen listing exactly what LocalPins asks for. Here is what each permission is used for:

Google Analytics `analytics.readonly` (read-only)	The list of Google Analytics 4 accounts and properties the Google account can access, and aggregated reports for the property chosen: sessions, engaged sessions, new users, conversions and engagement time, by date, page and traffic channel.	To show website traffic and leads from the location's job and service-area pages next to its search results.
Google Business Profile `business.manage`, plus the Google account's email address	The list of Business Profile accounts and locations the Google account manages, and, only when a user schedules them, publishing posts about completed jobs to the location chosen. The email address is shown so users know which account is connected.	To post completed jobs to the right Business Profile location.

The Search Console and Analytics permissions are read-only: LocalPins cannot change settings, data or users in those products. Analytics data is aggregated and contains no information that identifies individual website visitors.

How we use Google user data

Only to provide the features users see in LocalPins: the location's dashboard and measurement reports, results emails sent to that account's own users, and the Business Profile posts users schedule.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or retargeting, use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending, or transfer it to data brokers or information resellers.
We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. Google user data is never sent to AI providers.
People at LocalPins do not read Google user data, except with the user's permission when they ask us for help, when needed for security such as investigating abuse, to comply with the law, or in aggregated and anonymized form for internal operations.

Google user data is shown only to the signed-in users of the LocalPins account that connected it, and to the agency administrators who manage that account. It is not shared with any other third party, except the service providers that host our servers and deliver our emails, who process it only on our behalf to run LocalPins, where required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with the same protections.

How we store and protect Google user data

Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted in our database. All data is sent over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers. Only the data needed for the features above is kept.

Keeping and deleting Google user data

Data is kept while the Google connection is active, so reports can compare against the original baseline.
Disconnect at any time in LocalPins: Location → Measurement → Disconnect Google, or Disconnect under Google Business Profile. Disconnecting cancels LocalPins' access with Google straight away. Tick “Also delete all Search Console and GA4 data” to delete the stored data at the same time.
You can also remove LocalPins' access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. LocalPins then stops syncing.
When a location or account is deleted, all Google data stored for it is deleted with it.
To have us delete any data, email privacy@localpins.co. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

LocalPins' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Information from Meta

If a business connects Facebook or Instagram, LocalPins receives access to the Pages and Instagram accounts chosen and uses it only to publish the job posts users schedule. It can be disconnected at any time from the location's settings.

5. How we use information

To run LocalPins: saving jobs, building map pins and service-area pages, sending them to the business's website, and publishing the posts users schedule.
To send the emails a business has turned on: new job alerts, results summaries, and review requests to its customers.
To place jobs on a map, we send job addresses to a geocoding service (Google Maps Platform, or OpenStreetMap Nominatim as a fallback).
To help word job descriptions and page text, LocalPins can send job details such as the service type, city and job notes to an AI provider (Anthropic). Customer contact details and Google user data are never sent. AI wording is suggested for review and never published on its own.
To provide support, keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help run LocalPins (hosting, email delivery, Stripe for payments, geocoding, and the AI provider described above), each limited to what they need to provide their service; with the agency that manages an account; when required by law; or as part of a business transfer with the same protections. Published jobs appear on the business's website, map and the posts it chooses to publish, because that is their purpose.

7. How long we keep information

We keep account and job information while the account is active. When an account is closed and its owner asks us to delete it, we delete or anonymize its data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices. Jobs deleted in the app can be restored for up to 90 days.

8. Security

LocalPins is served only over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, connection tokens are encrypted, and access to production systems is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

9. Your choices and rights

Edit or delete jobs, locations and team members in the app.
Change or turn off results emails under Settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Disconnect Google or Meta at any time, as described above.
Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing privacy@localpins.co. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have more rights under local law, and we honour those requests.

If you are a customer of a business that uses LocalPins, the business decides how your details are used. Contact the business directly, or email us and we'll pass your request on.

10. Children

LocalPins is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and tell account owners about significant changes. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we'll ask for consent before using it in the new way. This version replaces the policy dated July 3, 2026.
