◆ Who we are
LocalPins ("LocalPins," "we," "us") is a local marketing platform operated by Busy Bee Media, Inc., located at 2217 Creston Ct, Medford, OR 97504. LocalPins helps businesses manage their local online presence, including their Google Business Profile, through our website at localpins.co and the LocalPins software installed on client websites (together, the "Service").
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to our website, our customers, and users who connect third-party accounts (such as Google) to the Service.
◆ Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, business name, and billing details when you purchase or register for the Service.
- Support communications — messages you send us and any information you include in them.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you use our website or the Service.
- License and site data — the website domain and license key of sites running LocalPins software, used to validate licenses and deliver updates.
Information from connected services
When you choose to connect a third-party account (such as your Google Business Profile, Facebook Page, or Instagram business account), we receive data from that service as described in the next section.
◆ Connected platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram & others)
The Service lets you connect third-party accounts — such as your Google Business Profile, Facebook Page, or Instagram business account — through each platform's official authorization process. Connecting is always your choice, we only receive the data and permissions you approve on the platform's consent screen, and you can revoke access at any time.
For every connected platform, the same rules apply:
- What we access: your account identifier (such as the email or account name) and the business content you authorize — for example listing details, reviews, posts, photos, comments, messages, and performance data for the business profiles or pages you manage.
- How we use it: only to provide the features you use — displaying your data in the Service, publishing or responding on your behalf when you request it, and reporting on your local presence.
- What we never do: we do not sell connected-platform data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI/ML models. We do not allow humans to read it except with your permission (e.g., a support request), for security reasons, to comply with law, or in aggregated, anonymized form.
- Revoking access: disconnect at any time from within the Service, or from the platform itself. When you disconnect, we delete the stored authentication tokens, and cached platform data is deleted as described in Retention & deletion.
- Platform terms still apply: your use of each platform remains governed by its own terms and policies.
Google Business Profile connections use Google's OAuth consent process under the business.manage scope. You can remove LocalPins' access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use disclosure: LocalPins' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Facebook & Instagram (Meta)
Facebook and Instagram connections use Meta's official login and permissions process. Our access, use, and deletion of Meta platform data follows this policy and Meta's Platform Terms. You can review or remove LocalPins' access from your Facebook settings under Business Integrations, or from your Instagram account's Apps and Websites settings.
Other platforms
As we add integrations, each will use that platform's official authorization process and be covered by the rules in this section. Where a platform requires additional specific disclosures, we will add them here.
◆ How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To process transactions and manage licenses.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
- To monitor usage, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To comply with legal obligations.
◆ Storage & security
We are a US-based company and data is stored on secured servers located in the United States. We protect information using measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, encrypted storage of authentication tokens, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and security monitoring on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
◆ Retention & deletion
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Connected-platform data (from Google, Facebook, Instagram, or other integrations) is retained only while your connection is active: authentication tokens are deleted when you disconnect or revoke access, and cached platform data is deleted within 30 days of disconnection or upon request.
To request deletion of your data, contact us at privacy@localpins.co. We will respond within 30 days.
◆ Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@localpins.co. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
◆ Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
◆ Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice (such as email).
